You Can Study Engineering With Your Grade 9 Certificate At False Bay TVET College



The education landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is on the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school product isn't the only productive means of studying. Their NCV programmes are designed for students who want to commence their journey towards a satisfying job early on.

CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Office for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, about their different courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are supplied at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a 3-year length.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These programs get started at NCV level 2 plus the minimal need would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Mathematics.

At the time the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they might then have attained a grade 10 certificate. NCV Level 3 would be grade eleven and NCV Level four is grade 12.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, currently being equivalent to a National Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade 9 is on NQF level 1. Our NCV programmes start NCV degree 2 and that is equivalent to an NQF level two.
